Enabling Data Trust for Maritime Decarbonisation

Published on:
March 31, 2026

Hoppe Marine recently engaged with the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation (GCMD) to exchange perspectives on advancing data-driven decarbonisation.

A recent GCMD-published industry case study, “Quantifying Energy Savings from Wind-Assisted Propulsion Systems (WAPS),” conducted on the vessel Pacific Sentinel, demonstrates that high-frequency, calibrated onboard measurements are essential to accurately quantify energy savings from emerging technologies.

With its proven expertise in shaft power measurement, fuel flow monitoring, and data acquisition, Hoppe Marine supports shipowners with reliable, high-quality data streams  forming the foundation for transparent performance evaluation and future-ready compliance.

As the industry moves towards ‘Data Trust’, Hoppe continues to enable accurate, synchronised, and traceable onboard data for smarter, sustainable shipping.
