Son-U Michael Paik has been an advisor to Hoppe Marine since 2012.  With over 25 years of experience as an attorney (NY & CA) and consultant, Michael specializes in working with Clients to design and build AI-assisted systems for governance, risk management and compliance (GRC), as well as environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. He has worked with some of Asia's most prominent companies, as well as European and US clients, in risk management, venture capital, public offering, merger and energy transactions. Michael has served in senior executive positions and he has designed and managed the legal, compliance, trade and risk management systems for three different conglomerates.  Michael holds a JD from Columbia Law School (1998), an MBA from Yale's School of Management (1995) and a BA in Economics from Syracuse University (1991).
